ACCELERATING THE FIGHT AGAINST FUEL POVERTY

What is the CertiNergy “Coup de pouce” operation?

The ‘Energy Saving “Coup de pouce”’ scheme, launched on 23 February 2017, is an operation introduced as part of the White Certificates (WCs) process, in order to speed up energy-efficiency improvements and make it possible for the lowest income households to have access to costly renovation works at a reduced cost.

The ongoing operation was renewed in January 2019 with the aim of encouraging all consumers to: à :

  • Replace their oil, gas or coal boilers (excluding condensing boilers) with an efficient heating solution: ‘Heating “Coup de pouce”’;
  • Insulate their attics and/or floors: ‘Insulation “Coup de pouce”’.

As a signatory to both of these “Coup de pouce” options, CertiNergy is able to offer you the following subsidies:

Information that must be shown on the invoice for replacement of heating equipment and to be noted on the web page: the removal of the existing equipment must be indicated on the proof of completion of the operation along with an indication of the type of heating fuel (coal, oil or gas) and the type of equipment removed. In the case of replacement of a boiler, the invoice must also state that this is not a condensing boiler or, otherwise, it must indicate the brand and reference information for the boiler removed.

Monitoring policy

We have made a commitment to improving our quality control policy, and all of our clients taking advantage of the option to insulate their attics and floors could therefore be contacted by an independent monitoring body to check that the works have been completed. We will implement corrective measures if any problems are detected during these monitoring activities.

Furthermore, we have undertaken to report any clear breaches of industry best practice or work which is clearly of poor quality identified by the monitoring body to the RGE qualification and certification bodies.

  • Energy cheque
  • National Housing Association (ANAH) subsidies

The ‘Heating “Coup de pouce”’ and ‘Insulation “Coup de pouce”‘ can be combined with the ANAH ‘Living Better – Agility’ packages, and the remaining amount payable may be covered by the energy transition tax credit (30%) and the eco-loan zero. The 3 reasons why you should take action!

To reduce your energy bills

You can reduce your energy consumption by changing your boiler, insulating the walls and floors in your home, installing double-glazed windows, … and you can make big savings on your energy bill.

To increase your comfort

By carrying out these works, you can improve your living comfort and well-being, especially through limiting draughts, heat loss and humidity.

To increase the value of your asset

Since 2011, it has been mandatory to display the energy efficiency rating when selling your home. A home rated A or B will fetch a higher price than a home rated E or F.
